Gayatri Co-operative Urban Bank Ltd wishes to inform all it’s customers who are willing to use Bank’s Mobile Banking application named Gayatri Co-operative Urban Bank Ltd and other digital platforms about Bank’s policy on collection, usage, and disclosure of their Personal Information (PI). If customer is willing to use this Mobile Banking App or any other digital platform, customer shall agree to the collection and usage of Personal Information in relation to this policy. The basic objective of collecting Personal Information is to offer the variety of services. The Bank will not share customer’s Personal Information with anyone other than mentioned in this policy. This Privacy Policy explains how Gayatri Co-operative Urban Bank Ltd. ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares your information when you use our digital platform-based services including Mobile Banking App and Internet Banking.
Gayatri Co-operative Urban Bank Ltd may collect personal information (PI) such as customer’s name, email address, and device information when he/she uses Bank’s services. Gayatri Co-operative Urban Bank Ltd may also collect non-personal information such as anonymous usage data for analytics purposes. The collected Personal Information by the Bank will be maintained and used as mentioned in this policy. The Mobile Banking App or any other digital platform may use third party services that may collect Personal Information used to identify and confirm Bank’s customer. Following Personal Information is collected:
PI is the information that relates to a natural person, which, either directly or indirectly, in combination with other information available or likely to be available with a body corporate, is capable of identifying such person.
It comprises following information, which is stored or processed under lawful contract or otherwise:
password
financial information - Bank account or debit card or other payment instrument details
physical, physiological and mental health condition
medical records and history
biometric information
sexual orientation
images including photographs, location, email id and address
mobile number
any detail relating to the above clauses as provided to body corporate for providing service
any of the information received under above clauses by body corporate for processing
Provided that, any information that is freely available or accessible in public domain or furnished under the Right to Information Act, 2005 or any other law for the time being in force shall not be regarded as sensitive personal data or information for these purposes.
This policy is applicable to Gayatri Co-operative Urban Bank Ltd customers who are/will use Mobile Banking services or any other digital platform based services offered by the Bank and whose Personal Information / sensitive Personal Information is either received/collected/stored/dealt in/possessed by Gayatri Co-operative Urban Bank Ltd or it’s affiliates directly from customers or Bank’s online portal or Mobile Banking App or electronic communications and also any information collected by Bank’s server from the customer’s browser. The images (photographs) are used for representation purpose only and will not be used for sensitive purposes like cross verification, sharing it with any third party etc.
The Personal Information collected will be used for the relevant lawful purposes:
Connected with various functions or activities of the Bank related to services in which the customer is interested, and/or,To help determine the eligibility of the applicable person for the product/services requested/ applied/ shown interest in, and/or,
To enable Bank to verify and/or process applications, requests, transactions and/or maintain records as per internal/legal/regulatory requirements with regard to the applicable persons and
To provide the applicable person with the best possible services/products as also to protect interests of Gayatri Co-operative Urban Bank Ltd.
Gayatri Co-operative Urban Bank Ltd may share customer’s PI, without obtaining his/her prior written consent, with government agencies mandated under the law to obtain information for the purpose of verification of identity, or for prevention, detection, investigation including Cyber incidents, prosecution, and punishment of offenses, or where disclosure is necessary for compliance of a legal obligation. Any Information may be required to be disclosed to any third party by us by an order under the law for the time being in force. In this regard, it may be necessary to disclose the Personal Information to one or more agents and contractors of Bank and their subcontractors, but such agents, contractors, and sub-contractors will be required to agree to use the Information obtained from Gayatri Co-operative Urban Bank Ltd only for these purposes.
The Personal Information will not be shared with any external organizations unless the same is necessary to protect the interests of the Gayatri Co-operative Urban Bank Ltd. or to enable the Gayatri Co-operative Urban Bank Ltd to provide services or to enable the completion/compilation of a transaction, credit reporting, or the same is necessary or required pursuant to applicable banking norms or pursuant to the terms and conditions applicable to such Information as agreed to with Gayatri Co-operative Urban Bank Ltd or pursuant to any requirement of law/regulations or any Government/court/other relevant authority’s directions/orders. Gayatri Co-operative Urban Bank Ltd wishes to inform customers that whenever they use Gayatri Co-operative Urban Bank Ltd’s Service or in a case of an error in the app, Gayatri Co-operative Urban Bank Ltd. collects data and information (through third party products) on customer’s phone called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as customer’s device Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, device name, operating system version, the configuration of the App when utilizing Gayatri Co-operative Urban Bank Ltd’s Services, the time and date of customer uses the Services, and other statistics.
A cookie is a file (piece of data) from a website that is stored within a web browser as anonymous unique identifiers. A cookies are sent to customer’s browser from the websites that he/she visits and are stored on user’s device's internal memory.
Gayatri Co-operative Urban Bank Ltd’s Mobile Banking App or other digital platform may use third party code and libraries that use “cookies” to collect information and improve their services. Customer has option to either accept or refuse these cookies and know when a cookie is being sent to customer’s device. If customer chooses to refuse Bank’s cookies, customer may not able to use some portions of this Service.
Gayatri Co-operative Urban Bank Ltd may employ third-party companies and individuals for the following reasons:
To facilitate Gayatri Co-operative Urban Bank Ltd’s Service;
To provide the Service on behalf of Gayatri Co-operative Urban Bank Ltd.;
To perform Service-related services; or
To assist Gayatri Co-operative Urban Bank Ltd in analyzing how Service is used.
Further, Gayatri Co-operative Urban Bank Ltd wishes to inform customers of this Service that these third parties have access to customer’s PI.
